Resistance of paddy Echinochloa crus-galli to cyhalofop-butyl and herbicide screening in Heilongjiang Province
[Aims]These experiments were designed to study the resistance level of Echinochloa crus-galli to cyhalofop-butyl in Heilongjiang Province, and identify the potential rotational herbicides.[Methods]The single-dose method and whole-plant bioassay were used to detected the resistance levels of 33 populations of E.crus-galli,and the cross and multiple resistance to other frequently used herbicides.[Results]The results of single-dose method showed that except HL33 from wasteland, relative fresh weigh of the other 32 populations were greater than 25%,which could be inferred as suspected resistant populations. The results of resistance showed that 3 populations showed high level of resistance with RI>10,accounting for 33%;4 populations with RI ranged from 5.28 to 9.96,showed medium level of resistance, accounting for 44%;2 populations showed low level resistance with RI<5,and the frequency was 22%.The results of correlation analysis of biological activity showed that cyhalofop-butyl had an extremely strong correlation with metamifop, propanil and quinclorac,it had a stong correlation with penoxsulam, while it had a weak correlation with pyribenzoxim.[Conclusions]E.crus-galli in Heilongjiang Province has developed a general resistance to cyhalofop-butyl,which showed cross and multiple resistance to several frequently-used herbicides in rice the fields.Pyribenzoxim can be used as a suitable rotation agent.
