Comparison of biological activities of broflanilide and fluxametamide
[Aims]This study aims to clarify the differences in biological activities between broflanilide and fluxametamide as gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA)gated chloride channel receptor allosteric modulators.[Methods]The laboratory activity of the two insecticides to Plutella xylostella,Chilo suppressalis,Bemisiatabaci Gennadius,Myzus persicae,Frankliniella occidentalis and Tetranychus cinnabarinus were determined by means of leaf immersion and spray methods.[Results]The LC50 values of the two insecticides against P.xylostella,C.suppressalis,B.Gennadius,M.persicae and F occidentalis were all below 1.7 mg/L,and the insecticidal activity of broflanilide was relatively higher than that of the other one.The activity of fluxametamide against T.cinnabarinus was higher than that of broflanilide.[Conclusions]Both of the insecticides can be used for the control of agricultural pests, and fluoxazolamide can also be used to control mites.
