Influences of spray adjuvants on wettability of spinetoram droplets on mango leaves
[Aims]This study aim to explore the impact of various adjuvants on the wettability of plant protection unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)solution on mango leaves.[Methods]After adding 1%of 4 different pesticide adjuvants, the changes of surface tension and dynamic surface tension of spinetoram 1%solution and the contact angle, wetting area, and evaporation time of the solution on the front and back of mango leaves were studied.[Results]The results showed that adding different kinds of pesticide adjuvants could reduce the surface tension and contact angle of the solution, increase the wetting area, short the evaporation time, and improve the wettability of the solution on the leaf surface. The droplets were more easily to wet the front of the leaves. The surface tension and the contact angle of the solution added polyalkyleneoxide modified heptamethyltrisiloxane adjuvant were the smallest, with the largest spreading area on the leaves and the shortest evaporation time. The solution added hyperbranched fatty alcohol ether modified polymer had the largest wetting area on the back of the leaves, and the longest evaporation time on the front and back of the leaves.[Conclusions]Different types of spray adjuvants have different functions and characteristics. In the practical application of pesticide adjuvants,it is crucial to select the suitable type of adjuvant products based on the characteristics of crop leaf structure and the damage characteristics of the control object to crops.
