Structure introduction and flow field analysis of a new type of regulating valve
Regulating valves play an important role in the inlet flow control of turbine flow path structures. With the continuous improvement of the turbine efficiency, the requirement for the efficiency of the control valve is also higher and higher. However, there are many flow problems in the use of existing regulating valves, such as the separation of the boundary layer in the valve head, the kidney-shaped vortex structure with the high turbulent kinetic energy region behind the valve head, and so on.These factors pose a challenge to further improve the flow efficiency of control valves. In this paper, the internal flow characteristics of the control valve are studied from the structural analysis of the valve head and seat to find out the key factors affecting the flow efficiency of the control valve. The calculation results of the new regulating valve show that the improved structure of the regulating valve makes the flow state in the valve channel improve effectively, and the full pressure loss coefficient of the regulating valve decreases significantly.
