Study on gypsum dehydration in desulfurization system of coal-fired power plants
The limestone gypsum flue gas desulfurization technology is widely used in coal-fired power plants, and the main byproduct is desulfurization gypsum,a solid waste mainly composed of calcium sulfate.Gypsum dehydration is the key to the resource utilization of desulfurization gypsum.Due to various factors such as equipment operation, flushing water quality, and desulfurizer quality, the low purity or poor crystallization of desulfurization gypsum makes it difficult to dehydrate. This article takes multiple coal-fired units in Zhejiang Province as an example to study the main influencing factors of gypsum dehydration in desulfurization systems. It is found that the fluctuation of gypsum quality is an important reason for reducing the utilization rate of gypsum resources. It is proposed to improve the utilization rate of desulfurization gypsum resources through graded utilization and regulation to ensure the safe and stable operation of desulfurization systems in coal-fired power plants.
