In recent years,with deepening of supply side structural reform,wheat demand has shifted from quantity based to quality based.Improvement of wheat seeds can significantly enhance production quality.Using seeds as a starting point,based on panel data of various indicators from 14 major wheat producing areas from 2005 to 2020,a transcendental logarithmic cost function model was adop-ted to calculate demand price elasticity and substitution elasticity of wheat seed factors,and analyze differences among major wheat pro-ducing areas.
