Thinking of Developing and Planning Optical Transport Network in Shanghai Municipal Electric Power Company
This essay mainly discuses about the advantage of optical transport network (OTN) on transmission capacity, function and reliability by comparison and analysis between various optical networks. It also analyzes the necessity and feasibility of using OTN in Shanghai power communication network linking with the status and developing of network, then brings up some questions of structure choosing, business planning, optic parameter and fiber maintenance during the developing of OTN. Finally, it gives out some advises of developing and planning optical transport network in shanghai power communication network refer to the huge transmission capacity subject implemented by the state grid municipal company.
