Technical Characteristics and Development Direction of Smart Meter
With the development of our country smart grid, higher requirements is needed for the electric energy meter function, the products structure and function of electric energy meter has changed a lot. Electric energy meter developed from induction to digital, from single billing to multiple billing rates. As the key equipment of the smart grid, smart meter need to be small, independent, integrated, interactive and intelligent, that is important the current technical development. By reviewing the development of electric energy meter and the important role and function of the smart meter in power grid, research and development direction of new electric measuring instruments and instrumentation is put forward to cooperate with smart grid development.
