Digital Empowerment,Technological Progress and Rural Common Prosperity
On the basis of expounding the theoretical logic of the relationship between digital development,agricultural technological progress and common prosperity in rural areas,this paper uses panel data of 30 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities)in China from 2000 to 2020 as samples to calculate the development of rural digitalization and common prosperity.Index,using systematic GMM,mediation effect and panel threshold model to empirically test the impact of rural digitalization on common prosperity and its mechanism.The results show that:digital devel-opment has a significant role in promoting common prosperity in rural areas,and the positive effect is consistent among different regions;Digital technology can also indirectly promote common pros-perity by enabling agricultural production,that is,agricultural technological progress has an inter-mediary effect in the promotion of common prosperity in rural digitalization,accounting for 21.63％;The impact of agricultural technological progress on the development of common prosper-ity has a significant double threshold effect of digital development.With the gradual improvement of digital development in rural areas,the impact of agricultural technological progress on common prosperity continues to increase;In addition,the current coupling and coordination between rural digitalization and agricultural technological progress has great potential for development,and the effects of the two at different levels of common prosperity are different.Therefore,we should active-ly promote the digital construction in rural areas,accelerate the innovation,transformation and dif-fusion of agricultural technology between regions,improve the coupling between digital technology and agricultural production,and promote the realization of common prosperity in rural areas.
