Can the Integration of Rural Primary,Secondary and Tertiary Industries Promote the Common Prosperity of County:Evidence from 579 Counties in the Yangtze River Economic Belt
Common prosperity is the common vision of all people.It is important for achieving common prosperity for all people to promote common prosperity of county.The convergence of rural primary,secondary and tertiary industries provides new ideas for improving common prosperity of county.Based on the panel data of counties in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2006 to 2020,this paper uses the projection pursuit method and the comprehensive index method to measure the common prosperity index of county and the integration of the rural primary,second-ary and tertiary industries of county in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Then this paper analyzes the relationship and mechanism of the convergence of rural primary,secondary and tertiary indus-tries and the common prosperity of county based on fixed effect model and the mediation effect model.The paper finds that:(1)during the study period,the common prosperity index of county and the convergence of the rural primary,secondary and tertiary industries of county in the Yangtze River Economic Belt shaos a fluctuating upward trend,and the overall differentiation pat-tern is"high in the downstream,flat in the middle,and low in the upstream";(2)the influence of the integration of rural primary,secondary and tertiary industries on the common prosperity of county presents a significant"U"-shaped curve,and the influence of economic strength,develop-ment momentum and social governance also presents a"U"-shaped curve;(3)there is heteroge-neity in the impact effects of different types of counties.The integration of the rural primary,sec-ondary and tertiary industries has a significant"U"shape for the common prosperity of county in the middle and downstream counties,but the inflection points are different;The integration of the rural primary,secondary and tertiary industries has a significant"U"shape for the common pros-perity of county in leading counties,following counties,and potential counties,and the inflection points are also different;(4)the integration of rural primary,secondary and tertiary industries af-fects the common prosperity of county through enterprise introduction and training and economic agglomeration.The conclusion of this paper provides a realistic basis for promoting the integration of primary,secondary and tertiary industries in rural areas,and provides policy inspiration for pro-moting the common prosperity of county.
