Agricultural Information Infrastructure Construction and Agricultural Enterprises'Values:A Quasi-natural Experiment Based on the"Broadband China"Strategy
The high-quality development of agricultural enterprises is an essential guarantee for implementing the rural revitalization strategy and the modernization of agriculture and rural are-as.In the new development stage,digital technology is booming,and its integration with the whole agricultural industry chain is becoming closer and closer.It has gradually become a new driving force to promote the high-quality development of agriculture enterprises.Therefore,against the background of the strategy of"Broadband China",this paper empirically tests the effect and mechanism of agricultural information infrastructure construction on the value of agricultural enter-prises by using the panel matching data of 129 Shanghai-Shenzhen A-share listed agriculture en-terprises and prefecture-level cities from 2010 to 2020.It is found that the construction of agricul-tural information infrastructure can significantly enhance the value of agricultural enterprises.Spe-cifically,the improvement effect is more significant in large slopes,short sunshine markets,central and western regions,and edible agricultural products enterprises.The construction of agricultural information infrastructure to improve the value of agricultural enterprises has three functional paths:"construction of agricultural information infrastructure →improvement of research and de-velopment level→improvement of enterprise value","construction of agricultura linformation in-frastructure→ strengthening of digital technology application →improvement of enterprise value",and"construction of agricultural information infrastructure → transformation of sales management mode→improvement of enterprise value."This paper not only widens the policy effect of agricul-tural information infrastructure construction but also provides essential policy enlightenment for the sustained,steady,and healthy development of modernization of agricultural industry in the informa-tion age.
