The marketization of farmland transfer in China has significantly improved, but the transfer usually happened between the acquaintance, which means that efficient allocation of re-sources by farmland transfer market is limited.Few studies have discussed the weakening effect of farmland titling on the acquaintance feature from the perspective of transaction cost.Based on the survey data of Liaoning,Jiangsu and Jiangxi, this paper uses the intermediary effect model to test the mechanism of"confirming and registering the rights of farmland-reducing the information cost and behavioral constraint cost-promoting the characteristics of non-acquaintance in the circulation of agricultural land".The study finds that"information-cost-reducing"mechanism exists. The re-search conclusion theoretically expands the knowledge accumulation of non-acquaintance formation mechanism of farmland transfer. This paper also reveals that after the completion of the registration of farmland right, governments should enhance the quality of information platform for farmland transfer in order to implement the important role of clear and stable farmland property rights in promoting the marketization of farmland transfer.
