The paper explained the necessity of developing milking robot, and analyzed the status of milking robots at home and abroad. By studying the market of milking robot, the level of foreign machine automation and intelligent milking technology are very high, and generally the materials for robots are good, healthy, safe and durable; there are some breakthrough in automatic milking device of do-mestic robots, but the technology is relatively backward, to develop machines with independent intellectual property rights is still need-ed.
