Investigation on Resources and Propagation Techniques of Cotoneaster in the Rose Family in Qilian Mountains
In order to develop and utilize the cotoneaster resources in the rose family in Qilian Mountain for artificial propagation and cultivation,the species and distribution of the resources were investigated,and the seeds and cuttings were collected for sowing and cutting propagation.The results showed that there were 4 species of cotoneaster in the rose family in Qilian Mountain,namely,crested Cotoneaster,water Cotoneaster,grey Cotoneaster and northwest Cotoneaster.The germination rate of the collected seeds was 20％～30％ after sowing at 0～4℃ for 90 days;After the cuttings were soaked in 150 mg/L indoleacetic acid for 2 h,the survival rate reached 50％～70％.Therefore,it is suggested that artificial cultivation of cuttings should be given priority in production.
