Exploration of the Spiritual Qualities of Agricultural Scientists and the Path to Promote and Practice Them,Taking Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences(Northeast Agricultural Research Center of China)as an Example
Promoting and practicing the spirit of agricultural scientists is not only an era's demand for advancing the construction of a strong agricultural nation but also a practical need to inspire the vast majority of scientific and technological workers to remember their original aspiration for scientific research and their mission to serve agriculture.Agricultural scientific research,characterized by long research cycles,strong continuity,and numerous uncertainties,has shaped unique spiritual qualities in agricultural scientists over the long term.The article analyzes the basic situation,representative achievements,unique work experience,and scientific research qualities of the typical representatives of agricultural scientists formed during the more than one hundred years of scientific research activities at the Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences(Northeast Agricultural Resarch Center of China).It summarizes and excavates their common spiritual traits and sorts out the mature experiences and practices that have been formed in promoting and practicing the spirit of scientists.By combining practical situations,the article proposes ways to enhance the spirit of agricultural scientists,including improving work mechanisms,strengthening publicity and education,nurturing a love for agriculture,and adhering to truth-seeking and pragmatism.This aims to encourage and motivate the broad community of agricultural scientific and technological workers to create more significant technological achievements,better promote high-quality agricultural development,and contribute to the construction of a strong agricultural nation.
