To explore the mechanism of digital inclusive finance on farmers' income in Gansu Province, this study employed panel data from 14 prefecture-level cities(prefectures)in Gansu Province from 2012 to 2023.By constructing bidirectional fixed-effects,mediation,and threshold effect models,an empirical analysis was conducted on the impact of digital inclusive finance on farmers' income. The results showed that digital inclusive finance could significantly increase farmers' income, indirectly affecting it by narrowing the urban-rural income gap,and both exhibit significant nonlinear characteristics. The regional heterogeneity analysis indicated that the income-increasing effect follows a gradient pattern of"Hexi>Central>Longdongnan",and the impacts of agricultural fiscal support and industrial structure vary significantly due to differences in regional resource endowments.Subsequently, priority should be given to improving digital infrastructure in underdeveloped areas, optimizing the allocation of agricultural fiscal resources, and promoting differentiated regional cooperation to address the challenges of rural financial suppression and the large urban-rural income gap in western China.
