Field Efficacy Trial of Several Insecticides Against Cnaphalocrocis medinalis
Cnaphalocrocis medinalis poses a significant threat to rice crops as an important migratory pest, necessitating research into effective prevention and control measure. To screen out the effective insecticides, the control efficacies of seven insecticides againsr C.medinalis were evaluated in regenerated rice fields. The results showed that chlorpyrifos(48%EC),abamectin and chlorantraniliprole(6%SC),indoxacarb(15%EC)exhibited superior field efficacy with rapid effect and long persistence with control rates consistently exceeding 75%.Chlorantraniliprole(20%SC)and the mixture of emamectin and indoxacarb(10%SC)showed less efficacies, reaching 71.59%and 69.25%after 14 d of spraying,However,abamectin(1.8%EC)and the mixture of emamectin benzoate and chlorantraniliprole(11.6%SC)displayed week control efficacies, achieving rates of 64.63%and 61.56%,respectively.In summary,chlorpyrifos(48%EC),the mixture of abamectin and chlorantraniliprole(6%SC),and indoxacarb(15%EC)displayed strong control efficacies,mak-ing them suitable recommendation for C.medinalis control.
