Laboratory Toxicity and Field Efficacy Test of Common Chemicals Against Rice Planthopper
Rice planthopper pose significant threats to rice production. In order to screen out effective and low toxic agents for controlling rice planthopper.indoor toxicity and field efficacy tests using rice stem impregnation method and conventional spray method were conducted. The laboratory efficacy results showed that the median lethal concentrations LC50 of 10%triflumezopyrim SC,70%imidacloprid WG,20%nitenpyram SL,25%thiamethoxam WG,50%pymetrozine WG and 25%dinotefuran WP were 0.429、2.361、0.499、1.014、11.812 and 1.631 mg/L,respectively.The 10%triflumezopyrim SC and 20%nitenpyram SL showed good indoor toxicity. The results of field efficacy tests showed that the 6 agents against rice planthopper ranged from 64.28%~93.67%at 3 days after application and 85.34%~95.41%at 7 days after application. The control effects of 10%triflumezopyrim SC,20%nitenpyram SL and 25%dinotefuran WP against rice planthopper at 3 days after treatment were 93.67%,93.01%and 89.95%,respectively,and at 7 days of treatment were 95.41%,86.62%and 92.71%,respectively,with prolonged efficacy. In conclusions,10%triflumezopyrim SC,20%nitenpyram SL and 25%dinotefuran WP are effective agents for controlling rice planthopper.
