Study on Regulatory Effect of Vanisulfane on Flower and Fruit in Mango
Irregular flowering and decreased fruit quality are critical challenges in current off-season mango production.This article evaluates the effects of the plant immune inducer,Vanisulfane on mango flowering,young fruit growth,and fruit quality.The results showed that 100 μg/mL vanisulfane had the strongest effects on promoting flowering,fruits setting,and improving fruit quality.Specifically,treatment during the control and flowering stages increased the emergence rates of newly added mango inflorescences to 36% and 133%,respectively,compared to 7.32% and 22.22% in the control group.Similarly,100 μg/mL vanisulfane promoted young fruit enlargement and increased the fruit setting rate to 37.77% .It also increased the content of vitamin C,titratable acidity,and individual fruit weight,thereby improving fruit quality.
