Determination of DA-6 and Mepiquat Chloride Residue in Cottonseed by HPLC-MS/MS and Dietary Intake Risk Assessment
An analytical method for determining the residues of DA-6 and Mepiquat chloride in cottonseed was established by HPLC/MS/MS,along with a dietary intake risk assessment of cottonseed. The average recoveries of DA-6 and Mepiquat in cottonseed were shown to range from 88%to 97%and 84%to 92%,respectively,with relative standard deviations(RSD)of 6.86%to 7.3%and 3.6%to 9.4%,respectively.The limits of quantification(LOQ)were 0.01 mg/kg for cottonseed.Based on the designed application in this study, the terminal residues of DA-6 and Mepiquat chloride at different harvest interval in cottonseed were lower than 0.01mg/kg and 0.48mg/kg,respectively.The national estimated daily intake for the general population was 0.047mg for DA-6,accounting for 3.3%of the ADI.For Mepiquat chloride,it was 0.33mg,accounting for 2.7%of the ADI.It is concluded that the potential health risk induced by DA-6 and Mepiquat chloride was determined to be insignificant based on supervised residue trial data.
