Evaluation of Field Efficacy of Five Insecticides Against Cowpea Thrips in Tianjin
In order to screen effective pesticides for the prevention and control of cowpea thrips in Tianjin, field efficacy studies were conducted on tetrachlorantraniliprole, bifenthrin, abamectin, spinetoram and chlorantraniliprole, with imidacloprid as the conventional control. The results showed that all the tested insecticides showed good rapid efficacy after 1 day of treatment. The mid-and high-dose application of 60 g/L spinetoram SC achieved control effects of 78.98%and 83.57%,respectively,significantly outperforming the other insecticides. After 3 days of treatment, the efficacy of 2.5%bifenthrin ME decreased below 44.64%,while the other tested insecticides showed their highest control effects at all the treatments, with 60 g/L spinetoram SC providing the best preventive effect at 73.63%~85.79%.1.8%abamectin EC and 5%chlorantraniliprole SC followed, with control effect of 53.81%~77.27%.After 7 days of treatment, all the tested insecticides showed some decline in efficacy. The control effects of high-,medium-,and low-dose treatment of 60 g/L spinetoram SC,the high-and medium-dose treatment of 1.8%abamectin EC and 5%chlorantraniliprole SC,as well as the high-dose treatment of 10%tetrachlorantraniliprole SC,maintained control effect above 60%.The efficacy of the other treatments was less favorable.
