Determination of Abamectin Residues in Flowers by High Performance Liquid Chromatography
This study establishes a method for the determination of abamectin residues in jasmine, lily and rose by high-performance liquid chromatography. The samples were extracted with acetonitrile, purified, and derivatized before analysis using reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography(RP-HPLC)with FLD.The method demonstrated good specificity,as indicated by the absence of interference with the target peak in blank samples of jasmine, lily and rose.A good linear relationship between the peak area and the concentration of abamectin was observed over the range of 0.01~1.0 mg/L,with an R2 of 0.999 7.The average recoveries of abamectin, were 92%~110%in fresh jasmine,84%~88%in fresh rose, and 86%~103%in fresh lily. The relative standard deviations were 2%~6%for jasmine,6%~8%for rose and 5%~9%for lily. For dry flowers, the average recoveries were 75%~87%in jasmine,78%~89%in rose, and 72%~88%in lily, with RSD of 5%~12%,4%~8%and 2%~12%,respectively.The method meets the requirements of accuracy and precision for residue analysis, with a limit of quantification of 0.01 mg/kg.It offers good specificity, linearity, sensitivity, accuracy and precision, making it suitable for the determination of abamectin residue in jasmine, rose and lily.
