HOUSING BURDEN AND URBAN CHOICE FOR CITIZENIZATION OF YOUNG MIGRANT POPULATION
Promoting the citizenization of young migrant population is a key issue that needs to be addressed in China's new urbaniza-tion process, and housing is the key to the citizenship of young migrant population.Dynamic monitoring and survey data of migrant pop-ulation from 2016 were used to analyze the urban choices of young migrant citizenization from the perspective of housing burden in this article. The study found that the overall level of citizenization of young migrant population is not high, and most of the cities where they attain citizenship are their registered residence cities. The rise in housing prices has a crowding-out effect on the citizenization of young migrant population in the cities where they flow into, but the effect of depositing housing provident fund on the crowding-out effect of housing prices has a regulatory role, especially in large cities and among high-income groups, where its impact is stronger with regard to supporting citizenship.Low-income groups have a low probability of citizenization in the cities where they flow into, and they are less sensitive to the rise in housing prices.
