Under the background of the new era,this paper takes the opportunity of Michael's investigation of Nanyang and the con-struction of a modern provincial sub-center city to deeply excavate and integrate the Nanyang red cultural resources.It explores the multiple values of integrating Nanyang's red cultural resources with university ideological and political education from aspects such as the growth of young talents,the effectiveness of ideological and political education in colleges and universities,and the dissemination of Nanyang's red resources.It also explores the feasible paths of integrating Nanyang's red culture into university ideological and politi-cal education from aspects such as the subjects of ideological and political education,the excavation and dissemination of red re-sources,etc.Through the practice of university ideological and political education using Nanyang's red cultural resources,it is helpful to enable young students to absorb nutrients from red culture,improve the effectiveness of university ideological and political education,and has practical significance for developing regional red culture and supporting the construction of a modern provincial sub-center city.
