Analysis on the Coordinated Development of Population Structure and Economy Development in Liaoning Province
The population is the most important issue of sustainable development. The coordinated development of population structure and regional economy is viewed as an important way to achieve regional sustainable development.Coordination degree is a good qnantitative indicator for measuring the coordinated development of systems or elements. In this paper,we established an evaluation indicator structure to the coordinated development of population structure and regional economy, constructed a coordination degree model by using principal component analysis and correlation analysis and taken Liaoning province as an example.which used to be a typical area of"Northeast phenomenon"in the 1990s.The results show that, the development of population structure and regional economy tends to improve the overall situation during 1995-2006 in Liaoning Province. The relationship of the coordinated development is in line with the"anti-U shape"curve, and can be clearly divided into tow stages:①before 2000,the coordination degree of population structure and regional economy continuously increases, from primary coordination stage to higher one,The coordination degree of 1995-1999 which is the lowest is 0.922,and that of 2000-2004 reaches the highest.②after 2000, a downward trend appears, down to 0.954 during 2002-2006.
