Enter the 1920s,the importance of local documents was affirmed by the Kuomintang Government,who explicitly ordered local documents to be effectively protected.In the 1930s,with the promulgation of the Or-ganizational Outline of City and County Documents Committees and other laws and regulations,the protection of local documents was established by law.Various regions successively established documents committees,which jointly carried out the collection,sorting and preservation of local documents with other institutions such as librar-ies,public education centers and schools,during the period,large and small documents exhibitions were held,which made the upsurge of collecting and preserving local documents,aroused the general attention of the govern-ment and all walks of life,and effectively promoted the development of relevant protection.On this basis,some scholars have launched a theoretical discussion on the relevant issues in the collation of local documents,which provides an important reference for future conservation work.
