The Electrochemical Behavior and Application of Curcumin on Electrochemically Treated Glassy Carbon Electrode
In this paper,the electrochemical behavior of curcumin on the electrochemical treated glassy car-bon electrode(EPGCE)was studied,and a simple and rapid electrochemical method for the determination of Curcumin in Curcuma was established.The electrode reaction of curcumin at the EPGCE was studied and some kinetic parameters were calculated by using cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry in 0.10 mol/L PBS elec-trolytic solution of pH =3.0.Under the selected experimental conditions,the peak current increased linearly with the concentration of curcumin in the range of 1.0×10-8 mol/L~3.5×10-5 mol/L with a linear correlation coefficient of 0.997 1,the detection limit was1.0×10-8 mol/L.The method was applied to the determination of curcumin in Curcuma Longa.The average recovery was between 97.4%and 106.7%.
