Research progress of inflammatory factors in HIV/AIDS patients with concurrent cardiovascular diseases
With the effective use of antiretroviral therapy(ART)drugs, the survival period of HIV/AIDS patients has been prolonged, leading to an increased risk of chronic cardiovascular diseases(CVD).The incidence of CVD in HIV/AIDS patients is higher..Inflammation is involved throughout the occurrence and development of CVD.Cytokines are the main signaling molecules released by inflammatory cells. In HIV/AIDS patients, the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines accelerated by long-term HIV infection,ART drugs, and their dyslipidemia and intestinal microbiota translocation factors contributes to the occurrence of CVD.This review preliminarily elucidates the indirect involvement of inflammatory factor release in the occurrence of CVD triggered by long-term HIV infection,ART drugs, dyslipidemia and intestinal microbiota translocation, providing new insights for the treatment of CVD in AIDS patients.
