The toxicity of chlorinated paraffin mixtures,especially short-chain chlorinated paraffin mixtures,has been widely concerned by society.Short-chain chlorinated paraffins are included in the List of New Pollutants under Key Control(2023 version),and the import and export of short-chain chlorinated paraffins are prohibited from January 1,2024.Chlorinated paraffins are widely used in textile,leather,plastics and rubber industries because of their flame-retardant and plasticizing properties.This paper introduces the physical properties,chemical properties and application history of chlorinated paraffin.In addition,the testing standards and methods of chlorinated paraffin in textile,shoes and clothing products at home and abroad are compared.In view of the hazards of chlorinated paraffins and their widespread presence in the environment,it is necessary to continue to pay attention to the latest scientific research trends,relevant laws and regulations and detection methods in chlorinated paraffins at home and abroad,so as to provide reference for the subsequent development of accurate and reliable detection methods of chlorinated paraffins in textile shoes and clothing products.
