The advent of globalization has brought great impact and challenge to China's leather product design.This paper summarized the current situation of modern leather product design from the perspective of fusion,elaborated the necessity and feasibility of modern leather product design to learn from Chinese traditional art and make innovation,and analyzed the reference and innovation methods of modern leather product design to Chinese traditional art such as leather carving,embroidery,painting,etc.from the perspective of fusion,in detail.It aims to provide reference for the innovation of modern leather product design and its integration with traditional Chinese art.
