Preparation of Polysilicate Iron Polymer Flocculant and its Appli-cation in Waste water Treatment
With the improvement of environmental protection requirements and the urgency of saving water resources, higher requirements have been put forward for the treatment efficiency and comprehensive cost of flocculants used in advanced treatment of industrial wastewater. This article adopted sodium silicate as the raw material to prepare a low-cost and efficient inorganic polymer flocculant(i.e.,polysilicate iron),and studied the influencing factors of the flocculant during the preparation process for the optimal preparation. The obtained optimal preparation conditions are as follows:the ratio of Fe to SiO2 is fixed at 1∶2 and the reaction is conducted at pH 2.5 and 45 ℃ for 30 min.The optimal reaction conditions are as follows:the amount of flocculant added is 1.0 g/L at pH 7.0,and the flocculation time is 20 min.At this time, the turbidity removal rate,COD removal rate, and decolorization rate could reach 98.8%,84.5%,and 97.5%,respectively.The quality of treated water met the national standard for the first level effluent of printing and dyeing wastewater.
