Study on the Spatial and Temporal Distribution Characteristics of Air Quality in Central Cities of Guizhou Province Based on GIS
Air quality is closely related to human production, life, and physical health, and also has a crucial impact on the socio—economic development of a region. This article uses the monthly air quality comprehensive index data of 9 cities in Guizhou Province from 2014 to 2022 to analyze the characteristics of air quality changes at three time scales:annual, seasonal, and monthly.Spatial classification is used to analyze the spatial distribution pattern of air quality;Using center of gravity migration to reveal the inter—annual spatial migration pattern of air quality. The results indicate that:(1)The air quality of various cities in Guizhou Province shows a significant temporal variation pattern. From an inter—annual perspective, the air quality of various cities in Guizhou Province was generally good from 2014 to 2022,and the overall development trend was positive. From a seasonal perspective, the air pollution of various cities in Guizhou Province from 2014 to 2022 showed a"√"change characteristic. From a monthly perspective, the air quality of various cities in Guizhou Province shows a"V"shaped change characteristic.(2)The air quality of various cities in Guizhou Province varies spatially. The air quality in the southern part of Guizhou Province is better than that in the northern part, while the air quality in the eastern part is better than that in the western part.(3)The center of gravity of air pollution in Guizhou Province from 2014 to 2022 generally follows an east—west spatial migration pattern, with the center of gravity located in the north. The research results reveal the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics and spatial migration patterns of air quality in Guizhou Province in the past 9 years, which has a certain theoretical reference value for air pollution prevention and control and governance in Guizhou Province.
