This paper focuses on the background of the"dual carbon"strategy and takes the treatment of household waste classification as the research object.It deeply analyzes the current situation of household waste classification,the new requirements for classification in the"dual carbon"era,and the impact of the"dual carbon"strategy on household waste classification.By discussing the correlation between relevant policy support and carbon trading,a plan for the classification and treatment of household waste in the"dual carbon"era is proposed,including the formulation of comprehensive classification standards,guidance of social participation,and improvement of classification effectiveness,as well as the application of technical means in improving the utilization rate of waste resources.
