This paper analyzed the main environmental problems in agricultural development,such as soil degradation,water shortage,excessive use of pesticides and fertilizers,and decreased of biodiversity,and discussed the impact of these problems on sustainable agricultural development.On this basis,the paper focused on the role of environmental impact assessment(EIA)in solving these problems,especially how to put forward effective strategies for sustainable agricultural development through EIA,include improving resource efficiency,promoting agroecological practices,recycling and management of agricultural waste and establishing ecological reserves to protect biodiversity,and analyzed the significance of implementing these strategies for the sustainable development of agriculture,so then providing scientific theoretical basis and practical guidance for the sustainable development of agriculture.
