Distribution and Risk Assessment of Volatile Organic Compounds in Chemical Industrial Parks
This study investigated the occurrence, distribution, and risk of 55 target volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in water and soil samples from a chemical park and its adjacent areas. The concentrations of 55 VOCs in water and soil samples ranged from 1.22~1905.99 μg/g and 0~11.58 ng/g,respectively.Aromatic hydrocarbons were predominant in soil samples and halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbons were predominant in water samples.VOCs concentration in water samples collected at different sites was different by 1~3 orders of magnitude, and the average concentration of river water in the park was significantly higher than that of river water outside the park. However, risk quotient results suggest that VOCs pose a low risk to related, sensitive aquatic organisms in river water;the average concentration of VOCs in the soil in the park was slightly higher than that in the surrounding areas.
