In recent years, with the continuous development of the economy, the continuous improvement of people's living standards, and the continuous increase in the consumption of traditional petrochemical energy such as oil and coal, the overall environmental governance pressure is greater. In this context,China has put forward the vision of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and actively implemented the environmental impact assessment of carbon emissions, which can better provide a scientific basis for air pollution control, comprehensively and accurately assess the environmental impact, promote the development of clean energy, and effectively control the total amount of carbon emissions. However, there are still some problems in the current environmental impact assessment of carbon emissions, such as the lack of basic data on carbon emissions, the imperfect environmental impact assessment mechanism, the incomplete evaluation content, and the unclear focus of the evaluation, which hinder the sustainable development of China's economy. In order to ensure the effective implementation of China's dual carbon goals,it is necessary to actively carry out the environmental impact assessment of carbon emissions, take relevant measures in a targeted manner, improve the comprehensive quality of carbon emission environmental impact assessment staff, highlight the key work of environmental impact assessment, strengthen source control, and effectively control climate change,so as to achieve the purpose of reducing carbon emissions and protecting the ecological environment.
