After the goals of carbon neutrality and peak carbon emissions were proposed,China's consumption structure and industrial composition have undergone certain changes.The green and low-carbon revolution has gradually been implemented,and the social economy is also gradually developing towards high-quality direction.In this context,different industries are facing new development opportunities and challenges.The environmental protection industry is an indispensable and important subject in the implementation of the"dual carbon"target.It has obvious energy-saving and environmental protection attributes,and also has a certain penetration effect on related industries.It is closely related to the transformation and development of multiple industries in China.Therefore,this article conducts research and analysis on the exploration of the transformation of the environmental protection industry under the"dual carbon"target.Based on a simple study of the concept of"dual carbon"and the environmental protection industry,the development status of China's environmental protection industry under the background of the"dual carbon"target is analyzed.In response to the development opportunities and challenges faced by the environmental protection industry under the background of the"dual carbon"target,transformation and transformation strategies are proposed from three aspects:improving technological innovation capabilities,green upgrading of key industries,and construction of platform based development models.
