Monitoring and Treatment of Microplastic Pollution in Wastewater Treatment Plants
As an emerging environmental pollutant, microplastics in water environment pose a serious threat to ecosystem and human health.Based on the characteristics of microplastics, this paper discusses the possible problems in its treatment process, including water pollution, affecting human health and increasing treatment costs.Various methods for monitoring microplastics are discussed, such as spectroscopic techniques, filtration collection methods, fluorescence dye methods, and microscopic observation. The paper investigates the effectiveness of coagulation treatment, sand filtration, and membrane separation in microplastic control, aiming to provide references for addressing microplastic pollution issues.
