Self-monitoring is an important work for pollutant discharging units to grasp the information of their own pollution discharge and implement the requirements for pollution discharge permit,it is also one of the important ways for ecological and environmental departments to regulate polluting discharging units.With the gradual improvement of relevant laws,regulations,and technical specifications,self-monitoring is becoming increasingly standardized,but there are still some problems that need to be resolved.The fraudulent behavior in monitoring cannot be ignored too.Taking self-monitoring work in Fujian Province as an example,sort out the main content and process of self-monitoring work,and analyze common problems and fraudulent practices in supervision and assistance,put forward proposals for how to improve self-monitoring work.
