Ecological restoration by restoring degraded ecosystems and implementing effective management measures plays a crucial role in improving river water quality and controlling sewage discharge.This paper explored the definition and importance of ecological restoration,summarized its role in restoring riparian zones,enhancing biodiversity,and implementing best management practices to mitigate pollution,and discussed specific measures for ecological restoration,including riparian zone management,wetland restoration,and pollution control.Ecological restoration contributes to the conservation and sustainable management of river ecosystems.
