Study on the Challenges and Countermeasures of Carbon Tariffs in European and US to China——Based on the Comparison of "Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism" and "Clean Competition Act"
This paper briefly expounds the development process and current situation of the EU"Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism"and the US"Clean Competition Act",and compares the two.The implementation of European and American carbon tariffs will have a certain impact on China's trade system.Under the guidance of the"double carbon"goal,the Chinese government and enterprises should actively respond:actively carry out international exchanges and cooperation,resolutely resist unilateral trade protection,develop low-carbon technologies,vigorously reduce carbon content,increase carbon emission costs,improve carbon emission reduction efficiency,strengthen carbon footprint management,build a product carbon emission accounting system,anchor the"double carbon"goal,and unswervingly follow the high-quality development path of green,low-carbon.
