This paper points out the problems existing in the protection of urban cultural heritage,analyzes the application value of digital twin technology in the protection of urban cultural heritage databases,digital museums,and cultural and creative industries,and puts forward the strategies of digital twin technology enabling the theoretical research and practical exploration of urban cultural heritage protection.It is believed that digital twin technology has reference value for excavating and protecting urban characteristics,disseminating urban culture,and moving from functional cities to cultural cities.
