Effectiveness of Table Tennis Training on Perceptual and Motor Intervention for Children with Learning Disabilities
Children with learning disabilities have certain differences in cognition, learning and behaviour compared with normal children, and it is investigated whether the intervention of table tennis training could improve the perceptual and motor abilities of learning disabilities children. An 8-weekexperimental table tennis training programmeis conducted for children with learning disabilities, and the resultsaresystematically analyzedbyusing mathematical and statistical methods. After the table tennis training intervention, the children with learning disabilities show different degrees of improvement in perceptual and motor abilities, and the difference is significant(P<0.01)compared with the pre-intervention period. This suggests that table tennis training has a positive and significant effect on the perceptual and motor abilities of children with learning disabilities, and that the overall growth rate of children with learning disabilities in the area of motor ability is higher than that of the perceptual domain.
