The Public Aesthetic Features of Outdoor Mazu Statues
This study employs methodologies from art studies,sociology,and typology to analyze the Mazu iconography.By examining the materials and forms,the public characteristics of Mazu statues are interpreted.The social functions and cultural significance of outdoor Mazu statues are analyzed from the perspectives of urban culture,place attributes and spirit,and public identification.Through case study analyses,this paper investigates the public aesthetic features of outdoor Mazu statues,uncovering their public characteristics and examining the aesthetic features and social value of these statues.
