In this paper,a new type of photonic crystal fiber with circular hole defect core with high nonlinearity and low loss is proposed.The design of the circular hole defect core improves the nonlinear values of the optical fiber fundamental mode.The characteristics of the optical fiber fundamental mode are simulated and analyzed by the full vector finite element method.The simulation results show that:when λ=1.55 μm,the nonlinear coefficients of the fundamental mode of circular hole defect fiber is 73.4 W-1·km-1,and the confinement loss is the order of 10-5 dB/km.This design realizes the characteristics of the high nonlinear and low loss of the optical fiber,and provides theoretical guidance for the application of the optical fiber sensing and nonlinear optics.
