The Relationship Between Psychological Resilience,Parental Emotional Support, and Students'Subjective Well-being—Based on Data Analysis of PISA2018 in Four Provinces and Cities in China
Improving students'sense of happiness is an inevitable requirement for the realization of people's all-round development, and also a major mission of education. The development of non-intellectual factors such as students'physical and mental health is increasingly valued in improving the quality of education and comprehensively promoting quality education.Based on the survey data of 12058 middle school students in four provinces and cities of China in PISA 2018,it is found that psychological resilience, parental emotional support, and students'subjective well-being are all positively correlated;Parental emotional support and psychological resilience have a significant positive linear impact on students'subjective well-being,and parental emotional support influences students'subjective well-being through the mediating effect of psychological resilience. Therefore,it is suggested that parents should provide emotional support to students in terms of verbal encouragement, creating positive situations, and enhancing parent-child interaction,as well as enhancing students'psychological resilience from three levels:school, teachers, and students themselves.
