On Spatial Optimization Model for Primary and Secondary Schools
A spatial optimization model is set for primary and secondary schools in Wuhan by examining the average commuting distance of students in various regions and the spatial distribution of primary and secondary schools. With the objectives of promoting proximity enrollment and balanced development,a method for optimizing the spatial distribution of primary and secondary schools is proposed. The spatial optimization model is constructed by using ArcGIS analysis and a TS-SA hybrid heuristic algorithm.Through the optimization adjustment of school districts, the service capacity of primary and secondary schools within reachable levels and within specified service radius is enhanced,inter-school disparities are reduced, and the goals of proximity enrollment, balanced educational services, and improved service coverage are effectively achieved.
