In view of the demand of new technology and new business form of automobile industry for automotive professionals in the new era,this paper puts forward the training concept of vehicle engineering talents in the new era based on the practice of"excellent engineer program",with new engineering and student-centered engineering education certification as the core concepts.It integrates the elements of ideological and political education for the new era curriculum into the whole process of education.Secondly,it analyzes the current situation of the cultivation of vehicle engineering talents from the aspects of training scheme,curriculum,teaching methods,and teaching staff,practical teaching and the cultivation of innovative practical ability.Last,it puts forward a tripartite collaborative education mechanism of government,school and enterprise based on the platform of modern industry college or innovation and entrepreneurship college,so as to cultivate high-quality complex new engineering vehicle engineering and technical talents with strong practical ability,innovation ability and international competitiveness needed by emerging industries and new economy in the future.
