According to the characteristics of heterogeneous and multi-grain rock,cohesive coupling method and Tyson polygon principle were applied to cohesive crystal modeling based on Abaqus platform.Through this method,students can simulate the damage of real rock mass and understand the damage characteristics of grain during rock fracture from the mesoscopic perspective.The simulation experiment is a supplement to the traditional rock mechanics experiment,allowing students to understand the damage mechanism of rock from a microscopic perspective,which is conducive to cultivating students'interest in rock mechanics experiment and improving their learning interest,as well as enhancing students'innovative thinking.
