Implementing ideological-political education in all courses is closely related to the cultivation of students'critical thinking ability,and it is also a process for teachers to construct multiple meanings by using various multimodal resources.The critical approach to discourse studies provides theoretical support for the development of ideological-political education in foreign language teaching.This paper explores the ideological-political elements in Linguistics course in line with the beneficial discourse category from three aspects of world view,values and outlook on life,and designs the ideological-political teaching activity with the contextual view of meaning as an example,trying to integrate the instruction of professional knowledge,the cultivation of critical thinking ability and value shaping into the course teaching.
